Fügt thermische Masse hinzu, temperiert und reguliert die Hitze für gleichmäßiges Kochen. "Ziehen" des Kochguts bei leichter gespeicherter Hitze des stein, Brenner/Ofen ausgestellt

Der Firebox Cooking Stone besteht aus einem porösen Keramikmaterial, das durch einen Seasoningprozess versiegelt werden muss (wie eine gusseiserne Pfanne). Dazu wird der Stein mit Pflanzenöl (oder einem anderen Speiseöl mit hohem Rauchpunkt) abgewischt und 2 bis 3 Stunden lang auf eine Temperatur zwischen 190°C und 230°C (im Backofen) erhitzt. Wiederholen Sie diesen Vorgang, bis Ihr Kochstein kein Wasser mehr aufnimmt.
